Just hung up the phone with my brother in Germany; happens to be his birthday, too. Puts me in the mood to send birthday wishes.
And — guess what? — you’ll remember the celebration when the sun comes up tomorrow.

I went down to see my Dad tonight and my mom was on her best behavior for about five minutes while she gave me a present, she gave me a necklace with a garnet. My Dad gave me a card that had everything he has always wanted to say to me and well that choked me up. He bought pizza for all of us and gave the kids pez for Valentine’s Day (I know, a little early but he won’t see them anytime around VDay) and my mom only gave my husband 4 dirty looks while we were there so that wasn’t so bad. My hubby has a runny nose and itchy eyes after we left and he said oh it must be I’m allergic to cats now, and well I joke about no it’s my mom. Seriously someday I will do a post about her but I never can get the information from my memories, brain, to paper or the computer. I’m happy I got to see my Dad though, I hadn’t seen him on my birthday since I was a teen and I love to be around him even in silence. It was an okay day, I didn’t get cake but the house is quiet now so I am going to enjoy the last hour of the day with my Kindle.
