Sinkhole swallows resort

I’ve just got no words for this. Well besides this could happen anywhere and ANXIETY!

A vacation nightmare on an epic scale. A villa at central Florida’s Summer Bay Resort with more than 100 people inside was swallowed by a massive sinkhole.  Now we are hearing what it was like for everyone who survived. CNN’s Martin Savidge has the latest.

  1. I thought I heard everyone got out. And rest assured, Bats, this can’t happen anywhere. Florida is mostly soft limestone subsoil that water eats away at and then it collapses. It’s very uncommon in most places except mining areas. The ground in most parts of the country is pretty solid. Florida is just weird. I’m sure you’re safe where you are.

  2. My co-workers will confirm that this is my absolute freak-out fear. I’ve lived in places with hurricanes, tornados, wildfires, and earthquakes, but this has got to be the worst freaking thing I can imagine.
