It’s My Birthday!

Today is my birthday so I want to do a little something here.  I’m very appreciative of life even when I don’t seem to be.  I’m very grateful for many things but today I’m very grateful for all of you; those that read or read and comment.  I’m grateful that I have a place to come that shows no stigma, no judgement; a place that accepts me for who  I am and doesn’t hate me on my bad days, doesn’t like me just because of money or hate me because I have none.  I’m grateful that there is a place I can come where there isn’t an upper or lower class, no celebrity class; I’m grateful we are all equal here and can support each other because we want to not because we feel we have to.  I’m grateful today to be able to be Bats.

Along with that, I won’t be shy and I’ll let you know I LOVE presents. ;)  If anyone whom comes and reads could leave me a comment of just one thing you are grateful for today, that would be the best present of all!

  1. Happy Birthday Bats,
I am grateful for my wife and 6 year old daughter. They keep me sane and responsible. Living life as a moderate drinker would be a heck of a lot more difficult if I were single living alone.
Keep being Bats, we love you just the way you are !!!!!

  2. I’m very Happy it’s your Birthday! I’m grateful for Mrs. Jenius, My Son–a Genius in his own right–and for the Steelers being in the Super Bo–, okay, Mrr. Jenius and My up-and-coming Genius. Very grateful.

And to you for supporting my writing. Have a great day, Countess!!

  3. Hmmm, Anonymous. I guess I didn’t log in. This is moderation (aka alcoholicstruggle). Just wanted you to know I am still following and rooting for ya …..

  4. Happy Birthday, Bats! Hard to name one thing I’m grateful for, because I’m grateful for so much. But I guess I’d have to be most grateful for having been adopted into a wonderful family when I was just an infant, and that made everything else possible. As I always sign off to them, Love ya lots!

  5. Hi bats, your birthday surprise is in your moderation queue. Which is for the best, because I screwed up the links. The next one I leave, which will also go to moderation, is the real one.

    Happy birthday.

  6. Happy Birthday bats, congratulations on another year, it couldn’t have happened to a nicer chick.

I really couldn’t decide which way to go with your present.. there was some partial nudity in the first few attempts. But I think you’ll like these:

    …and then there’s this:

And this is who, and what, I’m thankful for:

    • Awww Gabriel you made me think, cry, and laugh all in the matter of 10 minutes. THANK YOU so much for doing that. I am so grateful you have a computer. I had to watch that last one first, saw the yellow ball. You know he’s one smart cookie monster to figure out if going through the water gets his cool hat wet, just go around. And we all need to do the Free Hug campaign, every last one of us. And how did you know I like the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Again thank you Gabriel, that really meant a lot to me.

  7. ‘happy birthday to you, happy birthday to YOU; happy BIRTHDAY Dear BAAATS Happy Birthday to YOUOOOO!!”

I am grateful for you and for words and for this blog world thingy and for my son and my legs and my fingers (that can type) and for earl grey tea and for birthdays to celebrate!!!

    XO Bats!!! Jen

  8. Grateful for you and this relatively free world where we can think, write, and say mostly whatever we want, as long as the wrong people don’t notice! :-D
Glad, too, that I found you. Sorry this is late, as we were out of town and I just got behind, but so grateful the posts stay up and I can send this late, rather than missing altogether.
    Happy Birthday, Bats, Dear! <3
